I don't feel that any significant changes are absolutely necessary. But, a couple minor changes can be: +Easier Access into Playoffs. Currently 4 teams make it to the playoffs. This is fine, but 6 playoff spots may have advantages, in that more teams get a chance to win. Yet, access to the playoffs is not an almost-automatic occurrence, which would prompt all to pay attention to the league in order to attempt to secure a playoff spot. The disadvantage of 4 playoff spots is that, teams who may have caught a bad break by having their top picks injured earlier in the season might have gotten a poor record in the beginning of the season. Therefore, the team may have stopped doing much in the league, thinking that there is no hope of catching up to the top 4. With 6 playoff spots, Mostly everybody will have some chance in vying for the championship. This would increase the attention of the teams. +Less Roster Spots/More Free Agents: Currently, the free agent list is stacked with injured and backup players. The other free agents are just simply not very good. The quality of the free agents is extremely poor. Also, on the rosters of teams, there are many players who may not be beneficial to the team. The only reason they are on the roster is just to potentially fill in as a last-minute injury replacement. If there are less roster spaces, the free agent list would contain better players, assuming the number of teams are still the same. This would cause teams to be more active in picking up free agents. Currently, for the teams who are struggling, the only means of improving would be to complete a trade that would help the team. It is extremely hard to pick up a player that would immediately improve the team in this league. Last time I checked, there was not 1 starting QB in the free agents(I may be wrong). If Im wrong, the starting QB's in the free agent list are either horrible and playing injured. If a team all of a sudden had both starting QB's injured during practice that week, they may be screwed. As in the scenario this season, in which one of teams had to give up pretty much to get some crappy QB in the trade, because the QB is supposed to earn one of the most fantasy points on the team. +When the new season starts, I would prefer for us to protect more than 6 players. I am saying this because it would be difficult losing some players who I feel will do well next year, i.e. Moulds, Warner, Delhomme etc. However, since most feel 6 is the most appropriate, then so be it. These changes are not mandatory. I am not desperately pushing for these changes. These are just some possible changes, that are not necessary in any way. If the league is the same next season, I would still be active in it.
